It all began with a quest for heirloom tomatoes. In 2020, my journey in Kansas City took an unexpected turn towards community transformation, ignited by the simple desire for accessible, flavorful heirloom tomatoes—a rarity in our local food landscape. Faced with their high cost and scarcity in nearby stores, I was compelled to take action, leading to the revival of a neglected plot of land. With just a few tomato plants, this small endeavor quickly flourished beyond expectation.

In response, we launched the Social Media Academy, an innovative after-school program designed to equip the youth of Greater Kansas City with essential digital skills.
