Our flagship initiative, the Lead, Seed & Feed Fresh Produce Delivery Program, has transformed a vacant lot into a thriving, fun-filled garden and safe haven for children and families in the heart of one of the most dangerous neighborhoods. This program is distinguished by its comprehensive mentorship approach, where seniors impart farming knowledge and life lessons to young participants, creating a communal garden. The cycle of growth and giving is completed when these young individuals harvest, package, and deliver fresh, nutritious produce directly to local residents' doorsteps, free of charge.

By growing a variety of fresh vegetables and produce not available in local stores, this initiative bridges the gap in access to fresh vegetables within low-income communities. Providing fresh fruits and vegetables is crucial for preventing chronic diseases that disproportionately affect the Black community, thereby improving overall health and well-being.

This hands-on involvement in the food cycle educates and empowers participants, fostering community stewardship and essential life skills like leadership, responsibility, and self-confidence. The lush, beautifully landscaped garden offers a serene oasis where children and adults can enjoy nature and explore gardening—all while having fun.
